O'Carrollyns is located at One Mile Beach in Port Stephens, New South Wales. It is just under a 2 1/2 hour drive North from Sydney and less than a 1 hour drive North from Newcastle, Australia's largest regional city.
|
O'Carrollyns is centrally located, near the middle of Tomaree Peninsula with only a short drive into Nelson Bay to the north east and Anna Bay sand dunes to the west.

|
One Mile Beach is 500m off the north east corner of the property on a designated access track under the trees – that's right, you don’t have to traverse 750 m of hot sand dunes to get there. |
Not situated on the main road is a distinct advantage over others. It is quiet, safer and more tranquil. The crash of the surf on the rocks and the wonderful symphony of birds, frogs, crickets and koalas are delightful, relaxing sounds.
By Plane
Newcastle Airport is approximately
20 minutes drive from O'Carrollyns. Daily flights arrive at Newcastle
airport from Sydney, Northern New South Wales, and Queensland. If
you are arriving at any other airport then you will need to take
either a bus or train to Newcastle (unless you take the one of the

only one hundred yards from the entrance to O'Carrollyns.
By Train
Trains travel as far as Newcastle,
although from here you will need to catch one of the Port Stephens

further trains arriving from Brisbane and other places along the
north east coast.

you to One Mile Beach and onto Nelson Bay.
From Sydney take the Freeway
or Pacific Highway North past Newcastle, and then further north
to Hexham. From here follow signs for Nelson Bay, until you come
to the sign for Gan Gan Road. Follow this road turning left into Koala Place at the Boat Harbour turn off/round-about.
From Dubbo take the New England

From the north east coast
